How do I Get Started?
Q. How much training is required to get a license
and start my career in real estate?
A. The State of North Dakota requires you to take
45 hours of required education courses prior to obtaining your real
estate license. You must pass a real estate exam. The State of Minnesota
requires you to take 90 hours of required courses prior to obtaining
your real estate license. You must also pass a real estate exam.

A. While sales and people skills give you a jump

A. There is no hard and fast rule and determining
success; but most people will know in the first six months if they
have chosen the correct career path.
Q.How much time will it require the first year
to be a success?
A. Newly licensed agents will typically work 50-60
hours a week in the first year of real estate. Yes, that is more
than the average; but you are your own boss and will be able to
schedule vacation and time off when YOU choose.
Q. How much will it cost to get started?
A. For our North Dakota residents, getting your
education, testing, licensing, joining our real estate board will
cost approximately $1,200. For our Minnesota residents, the cost
is about $600 more for the additional education required.
Q. Can I begin to list and sell real estate immediately
after receiving my license?
A. Yes, however under the close supervision of
your broker. We try to schedule for training classes a year. In
addition, our offices offer a mentor program that can be used during
this period to help launch your new career at a faster pace.
